For ex.
Brewer Industries had the following operating results
for 2007: sales of $15,200; cost of goods sold of $11,400; depreciation expense of$2,700; interest expense of $520; dividends paid $600. At the beginning of
the year, net fixed assets were $9,100, current assets were $3,200, and current
liabilities were $1,800. At the end of the year, net fixed assets were $9,700, current
assets were $3,850, and current liabilities were $2,100. The tax rate for 2007 was34 percent.
a. What is net income for 2007?
b. What is the operating cash flow for 2007?
C. What is the cash flow from assets in 2007?
Open Question: Work out purchases for income statement/ Profit and Loss account?
I have been given a balance sheet for the previous year and a cash flow statement for this year.
I have to create an income statement for this year, and i need to work out the purchases.
Sales was not given either…however i worked it out to be
Debtors at start + debtors at end + cash received from debtors + bad debts written off = sales
Is their a method similar to work out purchases?
