how to become rich immediately
Open Question: Why all the hate on socialism?
I mean, we need to get there sometime. Our current economic model gives an incentive to give the impression of scarcity, and because of it we have millions of people dieing in Africa each year from preventable causes. We could produce in excess the resources to educate and clothe and feed the entire world. Unemployment rates will continue to rise, and the gap between rich and poor will grow bigger and bigger. Labor won’t be an issue for much longer, we can automate just about every process in fields that produce physical goods. The only jobs left will be research-oriented. Humans need to be united if we’re going to combat climate change and keep the planet safely habitable for generations to come.
A socialist government that doesn’t place arbitrary restrictions on people’s freedoms is the ideal government, and is becoming more and more plausible every year. It will definitely be the form of government Earth will have when it finally unites.

Open Question: Is the deficit, not the pre-existing conditions Obama inherited, causing the prolongation of the recession?
Already the jump in mortgage rates has slowed the refinancing, which was the only aspect of the Obama economic program that was working well.
But the foreign and domestic focus on the deficit has a harsher political impact: It forces the Democrats to come up with money to fund healthcare reform. In other words, it makes them raise taxes. The Democratic Party is good at fooling itself that tax increases don’t matter and are politically palatable, but they do and they are not.
The massive spending healthcare will require dwarfs the capacity for the rich alone to pay the bill, no matter how confiscatory Obama chooses to become. Only broader taxes will do the job. Obama faces two practical choices: a value added tax or taxing health insurance benefits.
The political harm either way will be enormous. Not only will Obama be breaking his pledge not to tax the middle class, but he will be doing so in a particularly pernicious way.

Hard Hitting in the Lion City: The Singapore Identity? Li has taken up Singapore citizenship and bought a property in Singapore, but how much time will he be spending in Singapore? Will he (like many others) get the IC and then spend more time in China and Hong Kong than in Singapore? I don’t know about you but I am very uncomfortable about Singapore selling our citizenship like this. Spend money, buy property, invest in Singapore, and you can get Singapore citizenship. How about some rules on the amount of time they have to spend in Singapore?
